Purdue University North Central (PNC) Wellness Department offers a variety of programs and services to assist employees with better total wellness. PNC faculty and staff of all ages and abilities gain awareness, knowledge, skills, and motivation that promote a healthy lifestyle.

FREE Injury Assessments
Tuesday, April 21, 2015 • 2:00pm – 4:00pm • LSF 75, Aerobics Room

Do you have aches, pain, muscle imbalances, or limited range of motion?  The Back, Body and Joint Clinic and Innovative Physical Therapy are providing FREE assessments to faculty, staff and students.  During this time a brief evaluation will be performed to see what might be causing your issues and be given exercises on how to treat them.  You’ll also be able to ask the questions. Super Foods

Vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and fiber are essential nutrients we need to stay healthy.  Some foods have this special combo of ingredients and some don’t. Learn which foods are “super foods”, what these super foods can do for you and your health and how to incorporate them into your daily diet.


New Weight Watcher at Work Series
A new series will be starting up in April.  Please see below for the details and to register for the new series.

Days & Time: Wednesdays with Weigh-Ins from 11:00am – 11:15am and Meetings from 11:15am -11:45am

There are two options for this series depending on the number of participants.  *If you are a benefit-eligible employee Wellness will contribute $100 towards the cost if you attend a certain number of weigh-ins/meetings.

17-Week Option

  • $186* per person which includes 19 weeks of eTools – NEW 24/7 Chat Included
  • Minimum of 20 paying participants needed to run this series

12-Week Option

  • $156 per person which includes 14 weeks of eTools – NEW 24/7 Chat Included
  • Minimum of 15 paying participants needed to run this series

All employees who join the onsite meeting between April 13th-May 8th, 2015, will receive a FREE Starter Kit which includes two portion plates, cookbook (What to Cook Now), Spring Into Action guide w/coupons.

On Campus Massages
Thursday, May 14, 2015 in LSF 75 (Aerobics room)

Book yourself a 15 minute massages on campus.  Every second Thursday of the month a certified massage therapist comes to campus to offer their services. A 15 – 30 minute massage can rejuvenate tired stressed works, relieve muscle tension and help reduce the effects of repetitive motion on hands and upper extremities.
