Etiquette Tip #48: Your tie is not a napkin.

In a highly competitive work world, proper business etiquette skills are extremely important. “Interview meals” are becoming very popular among employers; and beyond the interview, business is often conducted during lunches, receptions and formal dinners.

If you have ever sat down to a formal meal and wondered “what are all those forks for?” or “is this a safe topic to bring up?” the Business Etiquette Luncheon will put you at ease. Hosted by The Career Center, this event is a fun-non-threatening way to learn business etiquette while enjoying a full course meal.

Some of the topics covered will include:

  • How to make a good first impression
  • Appropriate dress for the occasion
  • How to use utensils and dishes appropriately

You will also have an opportunity to network with our representatives from our event sponsors!



Event Details

Who’s Invited: Due to limited seating, this event is open to PNC  Juniors and Seniors only.

Date: Thursday, November 5, 2015

Time: 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Location: LSF 170A (Chancellor’s Dining Room)

Advanced registration is required, in person, in the Career center. Students who would like to attend need submit a $10 refundable deposit to reserve a seat at the luncheon. Deposits will be returned on the day of the event. Registration ends Wednesday, October 28, 2015.
Cancellation deadline is Friday, October 30, 2015 at 4 p.m. You may cancel in person or by phone. No refunds will be provided after the cancellation date.
There is an option to request a vegetarian meal, if you desire, when you register.
