General Education at PNC – Purdue University North Central 30-Credit Core Curriculum

In the fall of 2011, the Purdue University North Central Faculty Senate approved a Core Curriculum of 30 credits of general education coursework, incorporated by all PNC undergraduate degree programs, taking effect for all newly admitted students beginning in the fall of 2012.

The Core Curriculum requires a mix of specific courses and course categories, as described below:

Humanities and Social Sciences6Select at least one course each from the list of Humanities Core Courses and the list of Social Sciences Core Courses.
Additional credits3FYE, or select one other course from the last three categories.
