PNC’s Employee Wellness, Student Activities and Purdue Federal Credit Union are teaming up to provide the PNC community a series on financial literacy.  Each month there will be a workshop on a new financial topic and be offered two times.  If you have a topic you would like to learn more about please email kgardin@pnc.edu.

At this workshop participants will learn what a credit score is and how it affects you. Also, good practices on establishing credit and rebuilding damaged credit history.

Fall Trail Blazers
Monday, October 20, 2014 – Sunday, November 23, 2014

Walking is so easy.  Just put one foot in front of the other.  Yet 70% of Americans don’t get enough exercise.  This year’s Fall Trail Blazers program is focusing on getting individuals to walk 30 minutes a day for at least 5 days a week.  For the next 5 weeks you’ll be encouraged to keep walking and living a healthy lifestyle by tracking your progress.  Each week there will be weekly health tips and articles that will help guide you through the ups and downs of getting healthy. Americans are feeling stressed! Many are being asked to do more with less, for less. Thanks to 24/7 connectedness, some feel tethered to work even when they are at home. And who hasn’t felt dizzy and overwhelmed from information overload?

That’s why we’re launching our newest wellness incentive challenge, In Tune. In Tune is a 6-week campaign that will challenge you to tune in to your stressors and fine tune proven stress management strategies that will help keep day-to-day stress levels out of the danger zone. By employing a variety of methods to get In Tune with what is causing us stress, we will be better able to manage our response to those stressors and better appreciate the symphony of life. In Tune provides you with an opportunity to play with a variety of proven stress management techniques and determine which creates the best harmony in your life.

A Laugh A Day

Laughter is not only medicine for the soul it’s proven to be physically beneficial.  So why isn’t there more laughter in the world?  Did you know, the average preschooler laughs 450 times a day while the average adult only laughs 15 times, and that’s on a good day.  Learn how you can add laughter and humor to your life as well as others.

Know Your Numbers: Wellness Screening Results Review

What do all of these results mean?  Let us help you navigate through your post-screening results and offer recommendations for improvement.  This session is a general review of screening results that may be improved through lifestyle modification.  Topic discussions include blood pressure, cholesterol, biometrics, and blood glucose.  Great information for all participants regardless of individual screening results.

Emergency Preparedness: Why Should You Be Concerned?
