Matt Imer

Like most PNC students, Matt worked while attending school, but found it helped him set priorities to pursue his goals.   A transfer student from Purdue West Lafayette, Matt recently graduated from PNC with a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology (ECET).  During his time at PNC, Matt found his niche and flourished as an officer with the ECET Club and found his most enjoyable experiences came in the classroom.  Matt admits he had a good time studying for tests, enjoyed his study groups, developed positive relationships with his professors and had fun working on projects – in particular he worked to create an electronic chip programmed to launch a rocket and showed a completely different side of him in a class production of a modern fairytale.

Matt often volunteered at his church, including a major role in the musical, “Journey to Bethlehem.”  He also enjoys working with children and youth groups.  Right now, however, Matt says his plans are already set and ready to go” and he “can’t wait to get out and start his future.”  His degree helped him land a full-time job at LB Steel, LLC, in Harvey, Illinois.  While he will start on the ground floor working in sales, Matt intends to quickly work his way up the ladder.
