“PNC was been a good experience for me as a female
in a predominantly male field. The Building Construction
Management Department has a good group of professors
who offer unique insight into the industry. Martha Garcia-Saenz
(associate professor of Building Construction Management)
has always been a positive influence and is a tremendous
role model for women in the field. She goes out of her
way to help her students. She truly wants them to succeed.
We are lucky to have an instructor of her caliber.”
“For me, PNC it is a convenient campus to commute
to and the ‘non-traditional’ class schedule
suited my schedule.
“I’ve been able to juggle work, family
and school. PNC made it possible for me to attend class
by offering the Lil’ Boilermakers Preschool for
my children. Plus, PNC offered options for the non-traditional
student - evening and off-campus courses, which was
very important to me. This let me make the most of my
time.
I plan to use my degree to work in general commercial
construction services and work toward an upper management
safety related position. “
