General Scholarships

Dale Alspaugh Endowment Fund

This fund was established in April 2001 with a gift from Dr. Dale W. Alspaugh and Marlowe Alspaugh.


Anita Bowser Scholarship Fund

This fund was established in March 2007 with a gift from Russell Bennett and Susan Webster. This scholarship supports one or more annual scholarships for undergraduate students in the Department of Social Sciences in the College of Liberal Arts at Purdue North Central.


Dworkin Family Scholarship

This fund was established in April 2004 with gifts from James B. Dworkin, Nancy E. Dworkin, and others. This scholarship is to be used based on need and merit scholarships for Purdue North Central undergraduate students.


The Fran Suitor Memorial Scholarship for Non-Traditional Students

This fund was established in August 2006 with gifts from Nancy Grembowicz and Karen Suitor. To be eligible for a Fran Suitor Memorial Scholarship, a student must be sophomore, junior, or senior at Purdue University North Central in the year the scholarship will be awarded, have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0/4.0, and have financial need. Preference in selection will be given to non-traditional students. This scholarship is renewable provided the recipient continues to meet the eligibility criteria.


Harold C. Moran Memorial Scholarship

Current PNC (Purdue North Central) students who have filed a FAFSA, have financial need, are attending PNC with a minimum of 9 credit hours each semester, have completed 24 semester hours, and have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 are eligible.


Laverne Noyes Scholarship

If you are a natural descendent of an individual who served in the Army, Navy, or Marine Corp. during World War I, you may be eligible to receive the Laverne Noyes Scholarship.

Murdock-Woodard Scholarship

This fund was established in 1976 in memory of Howard D. Murdock and Dr. Margaretha Woodard. Scholarships will be awarded based on academic merit to students in the upper ten percent of their graduating class.


The Pokagon Fund Endowed Scholarship

This fund was established in December 2008 with a gift from The Pokagon Fund, Inc.. To be eligible to receive one of The Pokagon Fund Endowed Scholarships, a student must reside in one of the following cities, towns, villages or areas:

  • Townships of New Buffalo, Three Oaks, and Chikaming, and all cities and villages therein, all in the State of Michigan

The Purdue North Central Alumni Association Endowed Scholarship

This fund was established in November 2006 with a gift from the Purdue North Central Alumni Association. The scholarship is based on academic merit, which is defined to be a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale, and financial need.


Robert and Betty Jane Schwarz Scholarship

This fund was established in October 2002 with gifts by the Purdue North Central Alumni Association and others in honor of Robert F. and Betty Jane Schwarz. Professor Schwarz was instrumental in the founding of a permanent campus at Purdue North Central and held various faculty and administrative positions at PNC for over 30 years. Specific Endowment Agreement Criteria includes:

  • Student must have at least a 2.5 cumulative grade point average on the 4.0 scale.

Van Eekeren Family Scholarship

This fund was established in March 2006 with gifts from the Van Eekeren family. To be eligible for a Van Eekeren Family Scholarship, a student must be enrolled full-time at Purdue University North Central, have a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.2/4.0, be a graduate of a United States high school, be in good academic standing with Purdue University North Central, and have financial need.
