What Is The Program?
Success Through Education is a federally funded program that assists youth and adults in pursuing academic and career goals. The program, based at Purdue University North Central, serves Porter, LaPorte, and Starke counties of north central Indiana.

Program advisors help students and adults continue in and graduate from secondary school and enroll in post secondary education (colleges/universities/trade and technical schools.)

Who May Participate?
Individuals, 6th graders to adults, are encouraged to apply for program services. There are no particular qualifications, although individuals whose parents have not completed a 4-year college degree and/or low-income individuals are especially welcome.

What Services Are Available?
The services are free, and include:

    Educational, academic and career advising

    Assistance in completing college applications and financial aid forms

    Personality profiles; interest inventories

    Help in finding and applying for scholarships

    Newsletters with career and educational information

    Access to educational and career materials, college and vocational school catalogs

    Special programs, guest speakers, videos

    Trips to colleges and vocational schools

    Assistance in obtaining your diploma, GED, or degree

    Follow-up counseling after high school

    Referrals to all educational institutions (including trade and technical schools)
