The Panther Cubs Child Care provides care for children of Purdue University North Central students, staff and faculty during the Fall and Spring semesters while classes are in session. A professional director and staff provide a program combining planned activities and supervised play.
Children ages 3 (provided they are toilet trained) through 7 (up until their 8th birthday), are eligible to enroll. School- aged children (Kindergarten- 5th Grade) are welcome during school breaks, weather cancellations, and evenings. Prior to using this service, a parent must complete all enrollment forms and obtain a receipt of prepayment from the Bursar.
Hours and Location
- Monday-Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- Open during Finals Week
- Closed on weekends. Closed during the summer and when classes are not in session.
- Located in LSF 135
The center charges an hourly fee for child care, payable in advance at the Bursar’s Office:
- Student Rate: $2.25/hour for the first child ($1.50/hour for each additional child in a family)
- Faculty/Staff Rate: $2.50/hour for the first child ($2.00/hour for each additional child in a family)
Themed exploration centers are available daily for children to enjoy including dramatic play, science and discovery, blocks, literacy, art, life skills and more! Items available in the centers are always changing to suit the interests of the children. Examples of other daily activities may include:

Children also have the opportunity to participate in special activities throughout the school year including a carnival, trick-or-treating, seasonal parties, a fiesta to celebrate Spanish words learned, and more!
