A Career in Organizational Leadership

With the rapid rate of change in our global economy, increasing reliance on technology and connectivity, and changing nature of our workforce, the need for leadership at all levels has become increasingly important. Success is only attainable if everyone in the organization – managers as well as co-workers practice effective leadership. Graduates of the Organizational Leadership Program at Purdue North Central can be found in a variety of businesses such as retail, banking, manufacturing, healthcare, and other service organizations working in areas such as human resources, management, production, quality control or sales.

Program Overview

The Organizational Leadership Program at Purdue North Central offers a highly individualized, human relations-oriented approach to the practice of leadership in a wide variety of settings. One of the strengths of our program is our team of professors who offer not only expertise in their area of study, but have real world experience as well. As a student in one of the OL programs, you can enjoy learning theory as well as practicing vital human relations skills. Several opportunities for gaining practical experience through internships or service learning projects are also available and students are encouraged to take advantage of them.

There are a variety of options for pursuing coursework in leadership ranging from minors to certificates, Associate degrees to Bachelor's degrees.

Programming is also well suited for students who wish to further their education by adding a leadership component to their chosen field of study or for those who have completed an Associate degree and are interested in furthering their education by pursuing a Bachelor's degree.
