Welcome to Purdue University
North Central (PNC)! New Student Orientation
is important for your success because the
students and staff will show you how to navigate around campus.
During your New Student Orientation, you will experience a
day in the life of a PNC student. You’ll move from one building to the next to
create a true-to-life snapshot of student life. You’ll also be able to connect
with your fellow classmates and get into the mix of on-campus activities before
classes begin in August. Our tour guides are some of the best, brightest (and
coolest, if we do say so ourselves) at PNC and enjoy showing others why they
love it here…seriously!
Orientation begins in the Technology Building, North Lobby
Your NSO day will include:
- Student Success Session
- Financial Aid Session
- Registration and Academic Advisor Session
- Student Led MyPNC Tutorial
Please bring the following to your NSO:
- Your Picture ID
- Your Admissions Letter
- Lots of Questions!
- A notebook, pencil or pen
(translation, bring your smart phone or tablet, or pencil and paper for those
who are waiting for their birthday or graduation)
What to wear to NSO:
- Dress comfortably – you will be walking around for the
better part of the day. (Sorry, no Segways here yet.)
- Dress for the weather – if it’s cold, wear a coat; if it’s raining,
bring an umbrella, if there’s a solar flare, wear sunglasses!
