Information Services - Changing Your Password Online - Students

Information Services Links

A new service is being offered to students to manage their own passwords online. Both new students and current students are encouraged to use this service. You must know your 10-digit PUID # and Username to use this service. Passwords cannot be given out or changed over the telephone. If you do not know your username and/or password, bring a Picture ID to the Help Desk, Tech 265, and a Technical Assistant will assist you.

New Students

  • Go to the Purdue North Central home page
  • Click on myPNC logo
  • Under PNC Password Management, select Student

  • Choose the "Account Activation (New Students Only)" option

  • You will need your 10-digit PUID # and Username, found on your Letter of Admission, to proceed to activate your account, choose security questions and set your password.

Once you have completed this process, you then have the ability to select the "Change Password" option before your password expires or select the "Expired or Forgotten Password" option to unlock your account or reset an expired or forgotten password.

Current Students

  • Go to the Purdue North Central home page
  • Click on myPNC logo
  • Under PNC Password Management, select Student

  • If you have not set up your security questions, Choose the "Security Questions & Answers" option

  • You will need your Username and Current Password to use this option.

Once you have set up your security questions, you then have the ability to select the "Change Password" option before your password expires or select the "Expired or Forgotten Password" option to unlock your account or reset an expired or forgotten password.

REMINDERS:
  • Your password must have a combination of at least 8 letters and numbers, but not more than 14, have no capital letters, no symbols, and be something that you have never used before.

  • The PUID # must be 10-digits. If it is not, add a "0" to the beginning of the number.

  • Passwords expire every 120 days. You are notified by email seven days then again in three days before your password is about to expire.

  • All students are strongly encouraged to get a PNC Student ID Card. This card is free and includes your PUID #. The location to obtain a card is in Tech 157 in the Admissions office.
