As life becomes stressful it's often nice to relax in a hot tub, sweat in a sauna or take a nice hot shower to relieve tension. Besides relaxation, sweating is a great way to remove toxins from our bodies. We can of course do this through exercise but the above choices are a bit less stressful.
Below is a list of things you could do to relieve some stress. Some of these things you can simply do right in your home, but others you might have to pay for. Whichever path you choose remember that you are taking steps to help relieve stress. When we take proactive health maintenance steps in our lives we reduce our risk of serious disease and can actually reduce our health care costs. Wouldn't you rather pay for a soak or a massage than a doctor's office visit?
Ways to relieve some stress
1. Take a long hot shower
2. Take a dip in a hot tub
3. Get a massage
4. Relax in a sauna
5. Sit in a steam room or create your own at home
6. Go to a spa
7. Try some deep breathing exercises
8. Give meditation a try
Activity for Today: Choose one of the ways listed above to relieve some stress. You may choose a different way than what is listed above, just be sure to write it down.
