Purdue University North Central’s Center for Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) (a Great Lakes OSHA Training Institute Education Center Host Training Site)is offering a OSHA 511: Occupational Safety and Health Standards for General Industry course from October 14 through October 17.
The course will take place at Purdue University North Central’s Porter County campus in Valparaiso from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. each day. This 30 hour course covers OSHA policies, procedures and standards, as well as general industry safety and health principles. The registration fee is $800 and includes all required materials. Participants will receive a certificate upon successful completion of course.
For those interested in becoming an Outreach Trainer for General Industry, capable of teaching the 10 and 30 hour general industry safety and health outreach program to their employees and other interested groups, the OSHA 511 course, along with 5 years of general industry safety experience, is a prerequisite for the OSHA 501: Outreach Trainer Course for General Industry course that we will be offering in November.
