Transferring Your Financial Aid

Students Transferring To PNC:

If you are planning to transfer from another institution to Purdue North Central, you should take the steps below in order to be considered for financial aid at PNC.

Complete the following steps to apply for financial assistance at this institution:

  1. Notify your prior school that you will no longer be attending. Also, be sure to let the Financial Aid Office know that you will no longer be attending and request that any remaining eligible aid; such as Pell grant or Federal Direct Stafford loans are cancelled.
  2. Use your Federal Student Aid PIN and go to the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and add Purdue North Central’s school code (001826). Once added, we will receive your financial aid information within 3 to 5 business days. If you don’t have a PIN you can apply for a new one. If you do not have web access you may bring a copy of your Student Aid Report (SAR) to the Financial Aid Office of PNC and we will request your financial aid data. If needed, you may request a duplicate copy of your SAR by calling 800-4-FED-AID.
  3. Change your first-choice college to Purdue North Central (001826) for your Indiana Division of Student Financial Aid awards by going to eStudent. Once changed your new state grant eligibility will be calculated.
  4. Once you are officially admitted and Financial Aid has your FAFSA information and all required documents and information, an award will be calculated for you. Access your Self Service Banner through the MyPNC portal. The Financial Aid Office uses electronic communication for the majority of our communication with students.
    • Check your PNC email and your personal email (as provided by you on your FAFSA) for important messages from our office.
    • Check Self-Service Banner for important messages and to review any documents that may be required from you.
    • Check the Financial Aid website for important information.
  5. If documentation is needed, turn in any forms or information requested to the Financial Aid Office in Technology Building, Room 157.
  6. If you are eligible to receive Child of a Disabled Veteran (CDV) benefits go to the Indiana Department of Veteran’s Affairs Application webpage for the Child of a Disabled Veteran Application or contact the Veteran’s Administration and obtain a new certificate confirming the service related disability for CDV eligibility and submit it to PNC.
