Steps to Follow to Transfer Your Financial Aid

Students Transferring To PNC:

Transfer of Eligibility

If you are planning to transfer from another institution or another campus of Purdue University to Purdue North Central, you should be aware that you will not automatically receive the same type or amount of financial assistance at PNC. You can only transfer eligibility for the following types of aid:

  • Indiana Commission for Higher Education - Division of Student Financial Aid Awards (SFA or Lilly-Indiana institutions only)

a. Higher Education Award
b. 21st Century Scholarship
c. National Guard Supplemental Grant

  • Pell Grant
  • Child of Disabled Veterans Award (CDV) [only for Indiana institutions]

Complete the following steps to apply for financial assistance at this institution:

  1. Make sure that you are officially admitted and enrolled in classes for the upcoming semester. After that is done make sure that you have access to your Self Service Banner /e-mail login. This is important because all notifications from Financial Aid, Admissions, the Bursar, and Registration are sent via e-mail and PNC website access programs.
  2. Contact the financial aid office at Purdue North Central, and request any forms/directions you may need to complete the financial aid process.
  3. If you have your PIN # you may go out to the FAFSA web site and add the PNC school code (001826) to your FAFSA, and we will receive your financial aid information within 3 to 5 business days. If you don't have a PIN # you can apply for a new one. If you do not have web access you may bring a copy of your Student Aid Report (SAR) to the Financial Aid Office of PNC and we will request your financial aid data. If you do not have a copy of your SAR call 1-800-4-FED-AID to request a duplicate copy.
  4. If you're transferring from an institution in Indiana, and have been awarded any of the above listed Indiana Commission for Higher Education - Division of Student Financial Aid Awards, you must contact SFA immediately to change your eligibility from the other institution to PNC. Change the school to which your data will be sent. (PNC code 001826).
If you do not have web access you may see the financial aid office at PNC to have the change completed.
