ECET Classroom and Laboratory Facilities

TECH003 - Motors & PLC Lab

Shown here configured for 3-phase motor experiments, the Motors & PLC Lab also functions as an instructional classroom and an interactive PLC laboratory featuring Allen-Bradley SLC 500 Processors and Dell OptiPlex workstations on a private LAN.

TECH069 - Digital Electronics Lab

With a variety of variable waveform generators, digital frequency counters, triple DC power supplies and analog oscilloscopes, all 14 workstations in this versitile lab feature analog/digital trainers and 733 MHz Pentium III computers running Windows XP Professional.

TECH071 - Microprocessor Lab

Used as a classroom for most of the courses taught in the ECET department, the Microprocessor Lab also features six workstations featuring USB-based PIC programmers with inline serial programming capabilities and 1 GHz Pentium III computers running Windows XP Professional.

TECH075 - Open Projects Lab

This room has a unique ability that the other rooms in the department lack: The ability to be completely reconfigured at a moment's notice. It is used by independent-study students for lab assignments as well as the building and testing of semester-long (and longer) projects.

TECH083 - Analog Electronics Lab

Featuring six workstations with DSP programming boards and a variety of testing/measuring equipment, this lab also has four workstations with GPIB-networked oscilloscopes, arbitrary waveform generators, multimeters, and power supplies controlled by LabView and an Agilent ESA-E Series Spectrum Analyzer.
