Foreign Language Placement and Placement Tests
Foreign Language Placement Testing Dates Schedule and Information
Everyone taking a foreign language class needs to read the following:
(1) If you already have background knowledge of French, Spanish, or German and you wish to take a class higher than the beginning level, you must take the placement test.
(2) If you have had two years or more of one of these languages in high school, you may not take the first semester course in that language. Therefore, you must take the placement test.
(3) If you don't have a background in a foreign language, you will register for the first level and do not need the test.
No fee is required.
All placement tests will take place in the Modern Languages Lab, TECH 353, by appointment only. Appointments are necessary because of limited seating capacity. Appointments must be made by contacting Agripina Monsivais at extension 5683.
To make an appointment, please leave your name, phone number, and the date and time you wish to take a placement test. You will be contacted ONLY if your request cannot be accommodated.
