A Mother's Day Poem
I am loving and content
I wonder why we are here
I hear the shorebirds and the gentle lapping of the waves
I see the land restored to its original beauty
I want female rulers and animal rights
I am loving and content
I pretend to be queen of all I see
I feel that children need a voice in the world
I touch the hearts of animals
I worry about the future
I cry at the thought of a loved one's death
I am loving and content
I understand who the most important people are to me
I believe I will go to Heaven
I dream I will achieve my goals
I try to accomplish my dreams
I hope that my family will live in peace and happiness
I am living and content
