Purdue North Central offers a program of study leading to a Bachelor of Arts degree in elementary education. The plan of study consists of general education requirements, requirements for the major, and elective courses to
bring the total credits to 129.
Purdue North Central offers a program of study leading to a Bachelor of Science degree in early
childhood education. The plan of study consists of general education requirements, requirements for the major, and elective courses to
bring the total credits to 126.
Candidates who successfully complete the appropriate plan of study also will be eligible for Indiana initial teaching licenses in one or more of the following: Adolescence/Young Adulthood for Life Science, Physical Science, Chemistry, Physics, and/or Mathematics, which would qualify them to teach Grades 5-12 in their specific content area(s).
Purdue University's Department of Education is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and the Indiana
Division of Professional Standards.
