Original License

A person who has completed a teacher education program through Purdue University North Central and completed all necessary PRAXIS testing may apply for an original or "standard" license.

Instructions and Application for Teachers

When the license application is sent to the Division of Professional Standards, a letter will be sent to you indicating the teaching areas in which you have been recommended. This letter can serve as an eligibility letter for a school corporation for employment purposes.

Expect 4-6 weeks for the Division of Professional Standards to process your application.  The license will be sent directly to you.
