  • Purpose and Goals

  •       The Online Academy delivers most of its content online, in addition to holding hands-on training sessions (refer to the Spring Schedule for details and dates). The purpose of the Academy is to guide, mentor, and provide support to faculty seeking to utilize the technologies and resources needed to enhance the learning experience for their students.

  • Key Elements

  •       The integral components of the Academy are small-group discussions and online course creation. With the new and highly customizable BB Learn, faculty will learn how to create modules, assessments, and integrate various types of media in order to encompass all learning styles. This blend offers the faculty to grow more familiar and comfortable with BB Learn, as well as the hands-on approach needed to effectively prepare and answer any questions that may arise.

  • DOC Faculty Participation

  •        Faculty who have participated in the DOC (Develop and Online Course) program have been required to complete the Online Academy as part of their experience in the program. The DOC program supports faculty in their efforts to build a brand new, high quality, online offering for PNC students. This program aims to increase overall onlline offerings, helps students with degree completion, and flexibility.
