PNC Currently Piloting Blackboard Learn 9.1!

During the spring semester, 5 PNC instructors piloted our new learning management system, Blackboard Learn 9.1.  This summer, 21 instructors have been piloting.  As PNC plans to upgrade to 9.1, these piloting faculty have had the opportunity to learn the new system as well as provide valuable user-insight as to how this new and improved system can best support teaching and learning.  This pilot commences the initial phase of a transition timeline that PNC will be undergoing throughout the next 12 months.  Piloting faculty will join the project planning team which is a collaborative effort between Information Services and the Office of Learning and Technology.  In addition to the piloting faculty; staff, administrators, and students will comprise this team and be responsible for the exciting implementation of this improved system.

What is new with Learn system updates?

We are pleased to announce the newest release of Blackboard Learn (9.1.8). This release offers many new and exciting features. Here's a preview of just a few!

Training Opportunities

A variety of professional development opportunities are available to help support faculty as they move into this new system.  A 4-workshop series has taken place throughout the summer of 2012 and will continue this fall.
