Calendar

The calendar lets you view appointments, tasks, or notes you've received from others or created for yourself. You can view one day, one week, or one month at a time.

Schedule Appointments, Tasks, or Notes

  • From the main window, click Compose
  • Click Appointment, Task, or Note depending on what you are planning to schedule
  • Click Address Book to add recipients in the Required, Optional, or Not Attending boxes. For a personal Appointment, Note, or Task that only displays in your Calendar, do not add additional names.
                               Or
    Type recipient's address in the Required, Optional,  or Not Attending box. You must always provide the full address (example, student00@pnc.edu )
  • Specify the start and end time for the appointment, task, or note
  • Type message
  • Click Send

Schedule Reoccurring Appointments, Tasks, or Notes

This email program allows you to set up appointments, tasks, or notes that are repeated on a daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly basis.

  • Create an Appointment, Task, or Note
  • Click how often you want the appointment, task, or note to occur (Day, Week, Month, or Year)
  • Select the recurrence settings

    Day:  Enter the number of days until the next recurrence (example, every 3 days)

    Week:  Enter the number of weeks until the next recurrence (example, every 2 weeks) Mark the checkbox next to the day of the week you want the item to recur (example, Tuesday)

    Month:  Select the day of the month on which the item should recur, and then enter the number of months until the next recurrence (example, day 5 of every 3 months). You are also able to select the week and the day of the month on which the item should recur, and then enter the number of months until the next recurrence (example, the second Monday of the month, every 3 months)

    Year:  Under the Yearly heading, select the month and the day of they year when the item should recur (for example, every July 15). You are also able to select the week of the month, the day of the month, and the month on which the item should recur (example, the first Monday of April).
  • Specify when the item should stop recurring
  • Click Save

Accept Appointment, Task, or Note Request

  • From Mailbox open email
  • Click Accept at the top of the message
  • The Appointment, Task, or Note will appear in your Calendar. The status of the item is updated in the sender's Mailbox to show that you have accepted the item.

Decline Appointment, Task, or Note Request

  • From Mailbox open email
  • Click Decline at the top of the message
  • The Appointment, Task, or Note is removed from your Calendar and Mailbox. The status of the item is updated in the sender's Mailbox to show that you have declined the item.
