Policy for Student Club/Organization Email Accounts

Officially sponsored student groups (ie., clubs & organizations) are eligible to apply for an email account that can serve as the group's common electronic point of contact.
Two email addresses will be created by default:
-
An address that will serve as a distribution list to all group members (e.g., information_club@pnc.edu).
- An address for the group's president or point of contact
(e.g., information_club_president@pnc.edu).
To apply for these group email accounts, a group representative must complete an application form that includes the following information:
- Name of Faculty Sponsor
- PNC email address of Faculty Sponsor
- Signature of Faculty Sponsor
- Name of person responsible for maintaining the group's email accounts
- PNC email address of person responsible for maintaining the group's email accounts
- Phone number of person responsible for maintaining the group's email accounts
- Signature of person responsible for maintaining the group's email accounts
- A list of names & PNC email addresses of all group members who should receive messages sent to the group address.
- The name & PNC email address of the person who should receive messages sent to the president/point-of-contact address.
Once the application has been processed, the following general information will apply to the group's account:
- The email addresses will be published in campus address books, and will be available for use in contacting or corresponding with the group.
- IS will only make changes requested by the group member designated as being responsible for maintaining the group's email account.
- Requests for changes must be made in writing, although the written request can be delivered in person to the computer lab (Tech. 265), via campus mail (Information Services), or via email at helpdesk@pnc.edu
