Information Services - Your Personal Network Credential

Your Personal Network Credential (P.N.C.) is the key that provides
access to a number of computing resources designed to enhance your academic experience at Purdue North Central. Your P.N.C. is simply the combination of:

  • Your username
  • Your password

The username and initial (temporary) password are assigned as soon as you are admitted to the University. Your user name will remain the same during your academic career at Purdue North Central. You will be asked to change your password every 120 days.

Shortly after admission, you will receive a letter in the mail that contains your P.N.C. with instructions that tell you how to access your accounts before you even arrive on campus. If you don't want to wait for the letter, you can come into our computer lab (T265) on the second floor of the Technology Building (with a photo ID) and ask for your P.N.C.

Your P.N.C. provides access to six primary services:

  • On campus access to - campus printers, personal storage space, course materials, and software applications
  • Off campus access to - personal storage space and course materials
  • Wireless Connection - allows you to access the Internet anywhere on campus with your laptop
  • Email Account - personal email access from any web browser.
  • MyPNC Banner - allows you to access your academic records and registration information for future semesters.
  • Personal Web Pages - allows students to post their own home page on the web

If you have any questions, concerns or suggestions, please feel free to email the Lab Coordinator.
