Access Your Network Drives From Home

Information Services is now offering a way for faculty, staff, and students to securely access their network drives (I:\, K:\, S:\ and W:\ for faculty & staff and H:\, I:\, S:\ and W:\ for students) from home, using your web browser!

Requirements:

• Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator
• A connection to the Internet

Accessing NetStorage:

• Click on the link below, or type the URL into your web browser:
  https://home.pnc.edu/NetStorage
• You will be prompted to enter your PNC username & password - do so & click on OK
• After succesfully logging in, you'll see a screen like this:

Using Your Web Folders

• Once you have logged in, you can navigate to your files by double-clicking on the folders.
• To Download a file:
  • Left-click once on the filename to highlight it
  • Move the pointer over the File menu
  • Left-click on Download
  • Follow the prompts to save the file on your local computer
  • Edit the file in the appropriate application (e.g., MS Word or Excel)
• To Upload a file:
  • Move the pointer over the File menu
  • Left-click on Upload
  • Follow the prompts to select the file on your local computer
  • Left-click on the Upload button
• If you do not like the default, more graphical, interface, you can click on the Text View link, and you will be able to navigate your directories using a plainer, single-click, web link-like interface.

General Information

• Remember: Use your PNC username & password to log in and access your network drives (H:\, I:\, and W:\ )
• Faculty & Staff will also have access to their S:\ drive.
