How to Change Your Novell Password

For Windows 95/98 Users
Your Ruby Password is more appropriately called your Novell password. To change your Novell password, do the following:
On 95/98 go to Start then Run . In the command line portion of the dialogue box that appears type: command which will bring up a window with a DOS prompt. At the prompt type: setpass.exe . You should get a screen that looks something like this:
Just follow the directions given to you by the prompts and you should have no problems. Do remember though, that you may not use a password which is too similar to the one before it. It will not be accepted by the system.
Just hit enter, and your password should be changed. You will get an error message if the password was not able to be changed. Type exit at the DOS prompt to close the window.
How to Change Your Novell Password (For Windows NT Users)
- Hit the CTRL-ALT-Delete key combination to bring up the Novell Intranetware Client window.
- Click the Change Password button.
- Make sure all of the resources on the left are selected (If there are any that aren't, you may simply click on them to highlight them).
- Type your current password into the Old Password field
- Hit the Tab key on your keyboard
- Type in your new password
- Hit the Tab key again
- Retype your new password in the Confirm new Password field and hit enter.
- If everything went well, you'll get a box that says, "Passwords for all selected resources were successfully changed."
- Click OK on that window and you should be back in your system.
