Information Services - Changing Your Password on a Mac

You must know your current password to use this procedure. Passwords cannot be given out or changed over the telephone. If you don't know your username and/or password, bring a picture ID to the Help Desk, Tech 265, and a technical assistant will help you.

• Click on the tree in the upper right hand corner of the screen
• Select Connections...
• Click on "Password."
• Enter your old desktop password
• Enter your new desktop password. (This must have at least 8 characters and be something that you have never used before)
• Enter your new desktop password again.
• Click OK.

You will get a message indicating your password has been changed.
