GM
Purdue faculty and staff are eligible to receive a discount on vehicles from GM as part of the GM Supplier Discount program and the Purdue Employees Discount Program.
The discount is available only for permanent full-time and part-time University faculty and staff. GM offers the discount on the purchase or lease of new and unused eligible GM vehicles.
To receive the discount, call GM Supplier Discount headquarters at (800) 960-3375 or visit the Web site at www.GMsupplierdiscount.com. Phone lines are open from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Be sure to enter Purdue Code - 833656.
Those who qualify will be mailed GM Form 1753. That form can be taken to participating GM dealers to receive the appropriate discount. The amount of the discount is predetermined for each vehicle. Participating GM dealers can provide the exact pricing for the vehicle.

Ford
Ford Motor Co. has announced that it will offer a discount on vehicles to Purdue faculty, staff and retirees.
The discount is being made available through the College Partner Recognition program at Ford and through the Purdue Employee Discount Program administered by the Clerical and Service Staff Advisory Committee.
Faculty, staff and official Purdue retirees now can purchase or lease eligible vehicles at Ford's X-Plan pricing. Mazda vehicles are available at S-Plan pricing. Included in the discount program are a variety of models of Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, Mazda, Volvo and Land Rover vehicles.
Pricing for the vehicles is determined by a prescribed calculation. On the X-Plan, the price is 4 percent more than the Ford employee price, which is noted on the dealer's copy of the invoice. On the S-Plan, pricing is just below the dealer invoice price. The S-Plan price is noted on the dealer's copy of the invoice.
To participate in the program, faculty and staff can call toll-free (877) XPLAN-00 or go to www.fordpartner.com. You will be asked for the College Partner Recognition Code, which is PURUV. You then will be asked for your name, address, city, state, zip code and Social Security number. Participants are then given a PIN to provide to their dealer when selecting a vehicle. Participants also must provide the dealer with proof of employment such as a recent pay stub, Purdue identification card or W-2 form.
