Blackboard Vista - Announcements

Information Services Links

Create Course Announcements

  1. Verify that you are on either the Teach or Build tabs.
  2. Select the Announcements link on the Course Toolbar.
  3. Select the Create Announcement button.
  4. Enter Title:
  5. Enter Message:
  6. Under Recipients, select the checkbox next to the desired recipients roles.
  7. Under Delivery Dates, enter the desired delivery settings.
  8. Select the Send button.

Delete Course Announcements

  1. Verify that you are on either the Build or Teach tabs.
  2. Select the Announcements link on the Course Toolbar.
  3. Select the checkbox next to the announcement(s) to delete.
  4. Select the Delete button.

Preview Course Announcements

  1. Verify that you are on either the Build or Teach tabs.
  2. Select the Announcements link on the Course Toolbar.
  3. Select the ActionLinks arrow for the announcement.
  4. Select Preview.
  5. Close announcement pop-up window.

Move Course Announcements

  1. Verify that you are on either the Build tab.
  2. Select the Announcements link on the Course Toolbar.
  3. Select the checkbox next to the announcement(s) to move.
  4. Click the Move icon next to an announcement above or below the position you want to move the announcement(s) to.
  5. Select the appropriate option: Move Selected Above or Move Selected Below.
