Non-Credit Course Refund Policy

When a Student Chooses to Cancel His/Her Registration

Should a student choose to cancel his/her registration 6 days or more in advance of the start date for that class, a full refund wil be given, or the student may transfer this money to be used for another course's registration fee. This money is good for and must be used within the following 2 semesters.

Should a student wish to cancel his/her registration 5 days or less before the start date of the class, a refund will be given, after deductions for a $25 administration fee and the cost of any materials and books already purchased for that course. The student may choose to transfer 100% of his/her payment to cover the registration fee for another class. This money is good for and must be used within the following 2 semesters.

Should a student wish to cancel his/her registration fee after the course has started, no refund will be given, except in cases of personal hardship or medical necessity. The student may choose to transfer 100% of their money to cover the registration fee of another class, but the request must be made no later than the day after the second meeting of the class. This money is good for and must be used within the following 2 semesters.

When Continuing Education Cancels a Class

Although we make every attempt not to cancel courses, Purdue Univesity North Central reserves the right change andy schedule or cancel any course that does not meet minimum enrollment requirements. Should PNC cancel a course or change a schedule, our staff will contact you via the telephone number or email address you provided at the time of registration. A full refund will be given for all courses cancelled by PNC. A student may choose, however, to transfer his/her money to another Continuing Education course offering, and will receive 10% off of this new registration.

Refunds may take up to 45 days for processing.

The Office of Continuing Education is self-supporting, with income supplied from the course fees. Continuing Education receives no Indiana general tax funds. Non-credit course/program fees are the same for both residents and non-residents of Indiana
