Diana Ford

Diana Ford, a graduate of the Interlochen Arts Academy, received her Bachelor of Music Education Degree from Illinois Wesleyan University. Diana earned her Masters Degree in Music Performance from DePaul University, where she studied string bass with Warren Benfield.  Diana taught orchestra for ten years in Illinois Public Schools. She has Suzuki training in violin and cello and certification in Orff-Schulwerk. Diana taught pre-school music at Little Star Montessori Academy for five years and Michigan City Montessori for two years. Currently, she teaches Music and Movement at Ancilla College as adjunct faculty. Diana plays String Bass in the South Bend Symphony and the LaPorte County Symphony Orchestra.

Entertainment vs. Education

Overview of how to develop a curriculum for a pre-school music Program. The discussion will include: defining objectives, teaching strategies, and sample lessons.
