Project Overview
Since 2003, PNC has used WebCT/Blackboard Vista as part of the Purdue University system. This West Lafayette hosted service has provided faculty staff and students a common learning management system (LMS) platform for online instructional content delivery and collaboration. We anticipate completing the move to Blackboard Learn by the end of 2012.
Schedule (Projected)
Our project time line is purposefully aggressive. This is an important project, and there are many reasons why we need to make this change at this time. Foremost is that our current LMS, Blackboard Vista, is going out of support at the end of this calendar year - this alone has pushed things along. Perhaps more important, however, is that moving to Blackboard Learn will provide both faculty and students with a better, more robust, and ultimately more effective learning environment. Please consult the chart below for more information regarding the overall project schedule.
How To Participate
The earlier you begin your migration from Vista to Learn, the better! Planning is underway to facilitate any and all faculty members who wish to begin using Learn, either to teach or to simply migrate course content, as soon as possible. Watch your inbox, the OLT BbL page, and this page for the latest details!
