New test added to the health screenings:
hbA1C - Your doctor may order this test if you have diabetes. It is used to measure your blood sugar control over several months. It can give a good estimate of how well you have managed your diabetes over the last 2 or 3 months.
Benefits eligible employees, retirees and their spouses may receive one free screening per calendar year.
An HRA (health risk appraisal) will be available after the completion of your screening. This HRA will be offered on-line via CIGNA. In order to take the HRA you must log into the mycigna.com web site. Only those employees and dependents currently on Purdue's medical plan will be able to take the online HRA.
ALL RESULTS WILL BE MAILED TO YOUR HOME!
The screening includes a basic CBC (complete blood count) and a LIPID PROFILE/CMP (complete metabolic profile) which tests: glucose, triglycerides, cholesterol, HDL, LDL, heart, liver, kidney enzymes, electrolytes, and much more.
*10-12 hour fasting required for accurate results
