Psychology Club Minutes March 29, 2005 - Wednesday 6:00 p.m. - LSF #60

Meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. The meeting agenda was submitted and approved by all members.

Secretary’s Report:
Minutes from March 16 meeting had been e-mailed to all members on March 22, 2006. They were approved as written.
Historian’s Report:
Kristina Ray will get remaining copies of minutes for entire academic year, from club secretary tonight.
Old Business:
Psi Chi Charter: Dr. Urschel got in touch with Virginia A. Mathie recently, but there is no news yet regarding acceptance of PNC Psi Chi Charter.
Psych Club Library: Volunteers are still needed to sign up to help clean out Dr. Joanne Urschel’s office, end of semester.
Honey Sale Fundraiser: There is still some outstanding monies out there, needing to be collected and turned in to Annette/Joe. Tonight Jeanne submitted latest invoice for honey to Annette, who will get check cut from Bursar within the week.
New Business:
Awards Ceremony: To honor all campus clubs will be held on Friday, April 21, 2006, at 6:00 p.m. Dr. Urschel is scheduled to receive an award and be honored for her service to PNC. Psychology Club will be presenting her with flowers. Please see Dawn Harzula to make a donation.
Election of Psych Club Officers: To be held at our next meeting, Thursday, April 13, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. Please contact Annette for officer job descriptions/duties.
Research Project:
Field Work: Has been completed by Debbie Hager.
Survey: Forms have been completed. Tentatively to be distributed to student body beginning week of April 17, 2006. Discussion was held and Annette typed out survey instruction narrative, to be read by all administering the survey, before each class. Should any students have questions about survey, they can contact Dr. Joanne Urschel or Mary Beth Mitchell. This form will become a part of the Appendices of both the Proposal and Research Study. Results of the survey will hopefully be formally published in the fall of 2006 and then be submitted to the PNC school newspaper, so students can have results.
Methods: 95% completed as of today
Literature Review: Completed by Dawn Harzula.
Introduction: Completed and submitted to Psychology Club tonight. Annette and Mary Beth will complete proposal and submit to IRB no later than Monday, April 3, 2006, for their approval.
Special Thanks:
Annette thanked everyone for their hard work in completing this research project. Every endeavor will be made to have it done by the end of this semester.

April 13, Thursday: Next club meeting, with election of officers. April 17, Monday: Tentative date for surveying to begin. April 20, 21, etc. - Coding and data collection of survey information. April 21, Friday: Special honors ceremony. All club members presence requested. April 26, Weds .6:00 p.m. - last Psych. Club meeting April 27, Thursday - SPECIAL CLUB CARRY-IN (6:00 P.M.)
