Annette has made donations of her resource books to the Psychology Club library. If anyone has any books, they wish to donate, please bring them in.

The honey bee sale was a total success for our 2006 spring semester club fundraiser.  Should anyone wish to order more during this semester, please see Jeanne or Annette.

 New Business:

The club photos have been posted on the website for Psychology Club and on our bulletin board in LSF, lower level.

New members Rori Peterson and Barb Johnson were welcomed. They filled out the registration form for use by our club.  Jeanne gave them a copy of club e-mail list.

 Research:

 Field Work:

Debbie Hager reports there were 50 items inventoried at the PNC Bookstore which are designated with PNC or Purdue emblems.  Debbie will be in touch with bookstore manager, Anne Todi (sp) with regards to the research study we are conducting.

 Survey:

Annette covered the categories that the survey should include such as: gender, class status, items purchased from bookstore, hours spent outside of class on campus, how to pick classes for the random sampling, and details of how and when to conduct the survey.

Discussion was also held as to how to administer the survey, reading of specific instructions on filling it out, making sure there are no duplicate surveys given out, confidentiality, etc.

 Methods:

Kristina and Rori will go to Dr. Pula to have letter drawn up for submission to professors on the research project being conducted by the Psychology Club.

 Literature Review:

Dawn is in charge of receiving and reviewing the journal articles presented for this research study.

 Next Meeting:

The next Psychology Meeting is scheduled for March 1, 2006 at 6 p.m. and Jeanne will conduct the meeting in Annette’s absence.

 Meeting adjourned 8:00 p.m.

 Respectfully submitted,

 Jeanne M. Sanders
