Mary Jane Eisenhauer has been an educator for over 15 years. She received a B.S. in Speech-Language Pathology and an M.S.Ed. from Northwestern University. Combining her interest in language development with a passion for early childhood education, Dr. Eisenhauer began her career teaching kindergarten in Chicago. While teaching at the Baker Demonstration School of the National College of Education in Evanston, she received her Ed.D. in Curriculum and Social Inquiry with a specialty in Early Childhood Education. Since 2000, Dr. Eisenhauer has been teaching at Purdue University North Central in Westville, Indiana. Dr. Eisenhauer has presented at local and regional and national conferences including the Northwest Indiana Early Childhood Conference, Illinois ASCD Kindergarten Conference, NCTM Regional Conference and the National Association for Early Childhood Teacher Educators. Her professional interests include the study of young children’s friendships, language and play as well as the professional development of early childhood educators.
