Shelley Deutscher is currently the Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Coordinator at Lake Hills STEM Magnet School in Michigan City, IN. Shelley has provided professional development to many schools throughout the state with the organization Connecting Learning Assures Student Success (CLASS). Shelly is also a primary teacher with Michigan City Area Schools.

Combine Science, Literacy and Math and You Get a "MAGICAL" Learning Experience

Through the process of discovery participants will explore how early learners use their senses to learn about the world around them. Hands-on activities that enhance a child's understanding of a variety of science topics will be presented and integrate literacy and/or math skills. Participants will learn practiced ideas to help make learning a "magical" experience for every child.
