This course will introduce you to the basics – understanding the equipment, hardware and software, how to use the mouse, an introduction to Windows XP®, making the backgrounds look the way you want them to look, how to create, save, delete, open and close files and much more. This is an effective introduction that will get you started on your path to computer literacy. This course is not for VISTA users.

types of storage devices, understand menus and

Microsoft Excel is the most popular and most widely used spreadsheet program.
It is an essential tool for those going back into the job market, those
wishing to update their computer skills, or those who are trying to find
easier ways to organize information. In this class, learn how easy it can
be to create a basic spreadsheet. Understand how to set up a spreadsheet,
use basic formulas so the computer can do the math for you, learn to format
your spreadsheet, and create a tool that helps you have access to information
more quickly and easily.

Take the basic skills you learned in Excel Level 1 and expand them in this
class. Delve deeper into using formulas and functions, create more complex
spreadsheets, learn how to set up workbooks, how to sort and filter information,
and format more complex cells.

The Basics of PowerPoint (Level 1) (prerequisite: "Expanding on the Basics of Using a Computer" or understanding of basic computer commands and word processing)
Your presentation says a lot about you: how professional your organization is, how you pay attention to detail, and how well you are able to use technology. PowerPoint helps you creat professional looking presentations; it's much easier than you may think! Learn to use templates to easily organize information, add pictures and movement to your slides to add interest, and how to have handouts for your audience to use as they follow along with your presentation and take notes.

QuickBooks is becoming an industry standard. Learn how QuickBooks makes it
easy to set up a chart of accounts, reconcile your checking account, create
and print invoices, receipts, and statements, and track your payables, inventory,
and receivables.

or practical QuickBooks experience)
Do you need to be able to do more with QuickBooks? Sign up for this class
and you will learn to customize your forms, create reports and graphs, use

This course is designed for small businesses, bookkeepers, accounting personnel or anyone who wants to turbo-charge their QB expertise. The course goes into an in-depth discussion of recording assets and depreciation, managing loans and balances, recording business equity, federal tax preparation, using online features, and customizing the program for your specific needs. You will gain practical advice and discuss the tools you need to take your expertise to the next level.

Digital Darkroom (prerequisite: "Expanding the Basics of Using Your Computer" or understanding of basic computer commands and good understanding of your digital camera)
Learn the skills that are redifining photography today. PNC will help you to create photos that get noticed! Once you have captured your subject learn how to take that image out of your camera's memory and manipulate it. This class uses Adobe Photoshop CS2 to do things like remove red-eye and change colors. Learn how to edit your photos for emailing and website display too. Your imagination will soar as you create masterpieces! Take your photo memories from good to GREAT!
