Ray will be an Intern at Samaritan Counseling Centers from July 1, 2006 through June 30th, 2007. He is a graduate student at Loyola University, Chicago, Institute of Pastoral Studies, in the Pastoral Counseling Program. This program integrates psychology, spirituality, and theology into a holistic approach of counseling. Ray is embarking on a new career and calling as a Pastoral Counselor. He retired after thirty-years of government work and has a Master’s of Art’s degree in Urban Studies. For more than twenty-years he has been active in various parish ministries primarily as a Minister of Care in homes and hospitals in the Chicago Archdiocese. He also has been a volunteer working with the indigent elderly in Chicago. He has an interest in working with the elderly and those in transitions in their lives who seek help, support, and insight. He is an avid golfer and some time fisher. Ray is a part-time resident of the area.
