PNCWA Travels to see “Billy Elliot” in Chicago
Westville – The Purdue North Central Women's Association (PNCWA) will host a bus trip to Chicago on Saturday, May 22, to see the Tony Award-winning musical, “Billy Elliot” at the Oriental Theatre, part of the Broadway in Chicago series.
The trip is open to the public. The cost for the entire day, which includes a continental breakfast, deluxe bus transportation and theatre ticket, is $106. Men and young adults are welcome to attend.
An Elton John musical, “Billy Elliott,” has earned 10 Tony Awards, including Best Musical and has been performed worldwide. It is the heartwarming celebration of one young boy's triumph against the odds. Set in a small mining town, the story follows Billy's journey as he stumbles out of a boxing ring into a ballet class and discovers his passion. Full of life, laughter, award-winning choreography and an Elton John score, this show is “impossible to resist,” reports the “Chicago Tribune.”
The trip begins with a 7 a.m. continental breakfast at PNC prior to the 8 a.m. departure. The first stop is at Trader Joe's for gourmet food and wine shopping. Guests will then be dropped off in the Loop near the theatre for shopping and lunch on their own prior to the 2 p.m. performance. Guests will return to PNC by approximately 6 p.m.
To make a reservation, send a check payable to “PNCWA” to Suzanne Lesko, PNC, 1401 South U.S. Highway 421, Westville , IN 46391-9542 .
