PNC Offers Viewing of the Night Sky

WESTVILLE – Purdue University North Central Astronomy Club will host a viewing of the night sky on Friday, April 29 at 8:30 p.m. Observation through the telescope will be at the far south end of the PNC campus. The event is free and open to the public. This is an interactive learning experience suitable for all ages and interests.

The public is invited to take a close-up look at some early summer constellations, see the Moon and Saturn through our 10- and 8-inch telescopes and ask astronomy questions.

Members of the PNC Astronomy Club and Dr. Aaron Warren, PNC assistant professor of Physics, will be on hand to answer astronomy-related questions and provide descriptions of the objects being observed.

Participants are asked to park in PNC lot 7 and walk to the viewing area near the North Central Veterinary Center.
