Purdue North Central Welcomes New Faculty Members

WESTVILLE – Purdue University North Central welcomes new faculty members for the 2009 – 2010 academic year. They are:

Michael R. Lynn – professor of History and chair of Department of Social Sciences. He has a Ph.D. and master's degree from the University of Wisconsin , Madison , Wisc. and holds a bachelor's degree from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma , Washington . Lynn previously served as an associate professor at Agnes Scott College in Decatur , Ga.

Carla A. Pfeffer – assistant professor of Sociology. She has a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor . She also earned a Graduate Certificate, a master's degree, a Master of Social Work (MSW) and a bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan , Ann Arbor . She most recently held positions at University of Michigan as a graduate student instructor and she also worked as an adjunct lecturer in Social Work at Eastern Michigan University .

Zachary M. Leffakis – assistant professor of Management. Leffakis earned his Ph.D. from the University of Toledo. He has a Master of Business Administration and a bachelor's degree from California University of Pennsylvania. He previously served as One-Year Visiting Professor of Management at Saginaw Valley University in Saginaw , Mich. and was an MBA course instructor at State Farm Insurance Company Southpoint in Pittsburgh .

Heather V. Fielding – assistant professor of English. Fielding received her Ph.D. and master's degree from Brown University in Providence , .R.I, and a bachelor's degree from Tulane University in New Orleans . She also worked as a preceptor in Expository Writing at Harvard University .

Glynn E. Bricker – assistant professor of Physics. He earned his Ph.D. from Purdue University, West Lafayette. He holds a master's degree from Purdue University, West Lafayette and earned his bachelor's degree at Purdue University Calumet. Most recently he held positions at Purdue University in West Lafayette that included teaching assistant, lab coordinator, second lecturer and recitation instructor.

Lori G. Radtke – continuing lecturer in Social Work. She earned her Master of Social
Work from Indiana University, South Bend and a bachelor's degree from Purdue University , West Lafayette . Radtke has been a limited-term lecturer in Social Work at PNC since August 2005. For the past nine years she has been the director of counseling at Coolspring Counseling Center in Michigan City.

E. Ann Christo-Baker – assistant professor of Organizational Leadership and Supervision. She received her Doctor of Education and Master of Organizational Development degrees from Bowling Green State University and bachelor's degree from Fourah Bay College . She was previously employed as a human resource development associate at Pennsylvania State University in University Park , Penn. She served as an organization and leadership development consultant at the University of Toledo and taught at Bowling Green State University , Lourdes College and Owens Community College .

Jerry Holt - assistant professor of English. He earned his Ph.D. and master's degree from the University of Oklahoma and his bachelor's degree from Oklahoma State University . He previously served PNC as a visiting assistant professor.
