WESTVLLE-Purdue University North Central welcomes 16 new faculty members for the 2004 – 2005 academic year.
They are:
Kendra Cheruvelil, assistant professor of biology. She earned her Ph.D. from Michigan State University in fisheries and wildlife and ecology and evolutionary biology and behavior.
Michael Connolly, assistant professor of history. Connolly has a Ph.D. in history from The Catholic University of America.
Joseph Pavelites, assistant professor of chemistry, received his Ph.D. from State University of New York at Buffalo in computational chemistry.
Carolyn Roper, assistant professor of organizational leadership and supervision. She earned her Ph.D. in higher education administration from Purdue University.
Sarah Sanders Smith, assistant professor of organizational leadership and supervision, has her master of business administration degree from Ball State University with a concentration in human resources.
Mary Steible, assistant professor of English, was granted a Ph.D. in English from Saint Louis University.
Diane Morrow, assistant professor of nursing, has a doctorate in nursing from Rush University.
Barbara Hasbargen, clinical assistant professor of nursing. A retired colonel in the Army Nurse Corp., she earned her master of science degree in nursing from the Indiana University School of Nursing.
Kristina Kruchowski, clinical assistant professor of nursing, has a master of science in nursing from Valparaiso University.
Lisa Baird, visiting assistant professor of English. She received her master of arts in English from University of Akron and expects to earn her Ph.D. from Texas Christian University this year.
Annette Coates, visiting assistant professor of nursing, holds a master of science degree in nursing from Loyola University, Chicago.
Peggy Rose, visiting assistant professor of nursing, was granted a master of science degree in nursing from Valparaiso University.
Steven (Kim) Scipes, visiting assistant professor of sociology. He holds a Ph.D. in sociology from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Colleen Geier, visiting assistant professor of American sign language. She earned her MSEd. from State University of New York at Brockport.
Cheng-Chih Wang, visiting assistant professor of sociology, earned a Ph.D. in sociology from Purdue University.
Jennifer Carlberg, visiting instructor of biology, was granted a bachelor of arts degree from University of Norte Dame and is pursuing a master’s degree from the University of Chicago.
