PNC Economic Development Working Group Invites Public to Meeting
WESTVILLE – Purdue University North Central is in the process of developing its next strategic plan to be in effect from 2008-09 through 2012-13. As part of the process, eight working groups comprised of faculty, staff and students were created to examine a wide range of topics critical to the campus’s direction. One of these groups is the Economic Development working group, chaired by Dr. Alan Krabbenhoft, dean of the PNC College of Business.
The Economic Development group is holding a public forum from 2 to 3:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 4, to be held in the Library-Student-Faculty Building Assembly Hall, Room 02 on the PNC campus in Westville. The purpose of the forum is to gather input from as many constituencies as possible regarding the role that PNC has and should continue to play in economic development. Discussion will focus on issues that effect the workplace, infrastructure, and the quality of life within the region, the state of Indiana, and beyond. The public is invited, including educators, business owners, community and political leaders and concerned citizens.
Further information about this forum can be obtained by contacting Debra Nielsen at PNC at dnielsen@pnc.edu or call in 800-872-1231, ext. 5332. Information about the PNC Strageic Plan can be obtained by visiting www.pnc.edu
