WESTVILLE – The Purdue University North Central Advancement Office and the LaPorte Hospital Foundation will cosponsor the Association of Fundraising Professionals 2008 web conference, Educating Fundraisers in the 21st Century Listening to Donors – Essential Skills for the Win-Win Ask on Tuesday, Feb. 19, from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the PNC Library-Student-Faculty Building Assembly Hall, Room 02.
The event is open to the public. Association of Fundraising Professionals, PNC employees and La Porte Hospital employees will be admitted free. Others may pay $10 at door. Attendees are encouraged to bring a brown bag lunch.
The conference speaker will be Thomas D. He brings experiences from 2,600 donor interviews plus a myriad of experiences from running his own fundraising
program to consulting with organizations of all types and sizes. He is the author of “Winning Gifts: Making Your
Donors Feel Like Winners.”
Conference participants will also learn how listening techniques and styles as described by experts in
