Volunteers, Donations Needed for American Veterans Traveling Tribute
Westville – A number of items and volunteers are needed in order to make the American Veterans Traveling Tribute (AVTT) and Traveling Vietnam Wall visit to the Purdue University North Central campus on July 3 through 7 a memorable experience.
The AVTT and Traveling Vietnam Wall exhibit is made possible through the work of a committee comprised of a number of community volunteers and PNC employees who have been busy since fall organizing and coordinating this event.
The items and tasks needed include:
Fruit, water, pastries, coffee and condiments, coffee cups and napkins for escort participants
Radio and TV promotions
Billboard space and art
Printing of flyers, programs, signs
Lighting for site and tents
Flashlights with cones for traffic control
Buses and drivers
Refreshments - water and ice
Concessions to provide food and beverages for volunteers
Wreaths
Volunteers needed include:
Police Officers
Concession workers
Parking lot traffic control
Flyer/poster distribution within communities
Guardians of the wall and exhibit
Performers are needed for Thursday, July 5 at 2 p.m. and Friday, July 6 at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.
