PNC – Porter County Offers Discover Career Counseling Program
WESTVILLE – Purdue University North Central – Porter County will offer the Discover Career Counseling Program for high school students who may be undecided about their future plans and need career planning assistance.
This free personalized service will help high school students learn more about occupations and college majors that match their personal interests, abilities, and values.
The workshop is free, but pre-registration is required. Sessions will be offered on Wednesdays, April 2 and May 7 from 7 to 9 p.m. at PNC – Porter County, 600 Vale Park Road, Valparaiso. Individual appointments are also available at both Purdue North Central in Westsville and PNC - Porter County.
The Discover program guides the high school student through the process of decision making to learn what classes to expect to study with a certain major; what majors to pursue for particular occupations and what school have that major. Discover offers detailed straight-forward information on more than 500 careers.
