Purdue North Central Commencement To Be May 9

WESTVILLE – The Purdue University North Central 2005-2006 commencement ceremony will be Tuesday, May 9 at 7:30 p.m. in the Valparaiso University Chapel, with a record number of 565 master’s, bachelor’s or associate degrees being awarded.

Commencement guests will be required to have a ticket for admission to the ceremony. Each graduate will receive tickets to distribute to their family and friends. Graduates and their guests are invited to attend a celebratory reception immediately following the conclusion of the commencement exercises in the Old Town Banquet Center, 711 Calumet Ave., in Valparaiso.

The traditional commencement ceremony will feature the conferring of degrees by Purdue University President Dr. Martin C. Jischke and Purdue North Central Chancellor Dr. James B. Dworkin.

The new graduates will be welcomed to the ranks of Purdue alumni by Frederick C. McNulty, president of the Purdue North Central Alumni Association Board of Directors.

The response on behalf of the 2005-2006 graduating class will be presented by Melissa M. Muffoletto, of Valparaiso, who will receive her Bachelor of Arts degree in Behavioral Sciences.
