PNC Presents CEDaR Luncheon

Westville – Purdue University North Central and the PNC Center for Economic Development and Research (CEDaR) will honor Constitution Day on Sept., 17 with a luncheon presentation by Dr. Paul M. Green, director of the Institute for Politics and Arthur Rubloff Professor of Policy Studies at Roosevelt University. Green, noted political scientist, author and political analyst for WGN Radio, will discuss the issues surrounding the upcoming November elections and other politically newsworthy issues.
The luncheon will be at the Blue Chip Casino in Michigan City. Registration will be 11:30 a.m. to noon, with lunch beginning at noon. The lunch is $25 per person.
Green is frequently quoted and interviewed by the national news organizations for his views on the American political scene. He has been quoted in the “New York Times,” “Washington Post,” “Time” and “Newsweek.” He has lectured at universities in Europe, Asia and Africa and was one of a few American academic journalists to travel with the candidates for British Prime Minister in 1997.
He is the author several books and articles on Illinois and Chicago politics. His latest publications, co-authored with Mel Holli, are “World War II Chicago” and “The Mayors: The Chicago Political Tradition, 3rd edition.”
As a former elected official, Green served as Monee (Illinois) Township Supervisor from 1977 to 1983.
Green received his bachelor's degree in History and Political Science at the University of Illinois and his MA and Ph.D. at the University of Chicago.
